This one is in tribute to  jdannels who does some magnificant black & white work. I came across his 30 day 'where I live' studies, and I've gotta say, Joe and I may have the same backyard, but when I looked at his images, I hardly recognized the neighborhood! Beautiful images, Joe.
Naturally, I had to try his technique, and here's what I came up with using a pic I already had on file...Not in his league, but still, fun to try.

I had my freshman photo class do a surrealism/dream photography assignment. The first photo is my example.
I also did this to show texture and faces
The next assignment was combining photography and graphic design so I made these quick examples.
Lots of good stuff in this thread!
