Hi everyone. Someone at 'another' site mentioned DPC and I've been visiting every now and again for a few months. Not entirely happy with the 'other' site lately, I finally decided to sign up here today. I've read the FAQ, the help, and looked through many of the tutorials, but I'm still trying to get settled in. I'm incredibly impressed with the work here and hope to find this site enjoyable to be apart of.

| Came here from photographic ez board site. I'm hoping to improve. So far it's helped, mostly by reading different tutorials. I need a lot of help and, given enough time, I might get better. |

I did a search for "digital photo contest" when I was shopping for my G5. The challenge idea reminded me of my Photo Illustration class. Each assignment was centered around some theme and was totally open. Even though it was before digital became prevalent.

Either Drew or Langdon (I can't remember now) posted on Megapixel.net back in the early months of dpchallenge and I just happened to see it. I haven't submitted anything for a long time now, but I'm still around = P

I did a google search for on-line photography contests and found this little mecca.
That was at the time of Vipermike and the Matrix competition. I was so awed that I didn't register, only lurked, for a month before coming back to sign up. |
