Ooooh! I just got recognized in a challenge! Actually, that's happened twice this week. Kinda cool!

Is anyone actually having a good new year? Please post so I can enjoy vicariously and hope that it's not all going to hell in the proverbial handbasket.

Oh, and I forgot to turn scores off before the Free Study came in. First vote is a nice even 5. I'm hoping it will stay above that. Mostly I'm hoping for a comment. Just one will be fine.

For you, Melethia. Just got home from the best meal I have ever had. A party at a restaurant a block and a half from our house, so there was no driving involved. Cocktails, dinner, dancing, great food and wonderful friendly service. The restaurant was filled to capacity and decorated to the hilt. Leis, hats, tiaras, streamers, balloons, horns and noisemakers. And as we left, a bit after midnight, we could see the big fireworks display downtown. It couldn't have been nicer.

I had a good New Year planned, a friend was taking me to the Scottish society do, I think the hottest thing in the world is a man in a kilt and men in kilts were promised but alas I had to cancel. One side of my face is all swollen, I look like a squirrel with a store of nuts in one cheek, it's very odd and very noticeable but not really painful and I know not why it is so swollen. I'll have to do an SP later just 'cos I can't resist a photo of such facial weirdness. I hope it's temporary.

My NY was very quiet. hanging out with my sis and bro in law. I really have to find a woman to kiss at midnight. (and some other times too maybe)

Happy New Year guys!

I just spent 3 hours drinking, playing guitar and singing, doing probably the best performance I've done in months. Hope the year carries on the same way.

Happy New Year!!! Sounds like most everyone had a grand time. I'm hoping to be heading to the Mummer's parade in a little bit, and I'll be carrying two camera, lol. It was postponed by 3 hours due to rain.
