Wonderful detail and subtle tones. The black and white really forces you to look at the detail of the flower instead of just the color. Great shot!

 ..although there are some traces of oversharpenning, this is a wonderfull composition and shows a great use of DOF. |

This is an awesome shot. It is a shame that is was DQ'd, especially concerning all of the controversy surrounding the DQ. What is more unfortunate is that DQ controversies are still hapenning. Soem might say it is even more unfortunate that I am thread jacking this thread to point that out and I am sorry. But I think it is important that we show off some of these fine photos that were robbed by porr decisions by the few that get to make them.
Back to what I was saying, this is an awesome shot. It all looks so real. I am sure it was more difficult than it looked to pull this off and to that I tip my hat to you.
