Last winter I came up with what I consider to be my most genius idea, and it's working so well that I'm going to share with you guys so that you, too, can edit your photos and surf DPC in the lap of luxury and warm wonderfulness like me!
I have one of those whomping-big futon couches, and I've made a minor modification for cold weather: first add one of those heated mattress pads that work so well on a "real" bed. If you cheap out on the mattress pad and consequently feel the heating coils, just add one of those 3" foam eggshell pads they sell to college kids and you are good to go. Cover the entire thing with your normal futon cover, and you are good to go.
Voila! A Heated Couch! Woohoo!
Hey, your challenge score might be cold comfort, but a heated couch is the bomb.
Trust me on this. :) |

Delightfully decadent! I'm afraid if I tried that at home, I'd never get to sit on my couch - it would be owned by the cats... But I may try it anyway! |

Slippy is invited over to partake in Dictator privileges.
"Privileges" means hot cocoa with marshmallows. :) |

It's a good thing you defined 'privileges'. I would've thought I was allowed to sit on your lap. ;-P
