I am geocaching and have found this traveling bug. One of the goals is to figure out what it is...does anyone know what it is?
What is this? |

Looks like a string puller off a jacket or one of they make bracelets with that kind of string that have a similar size thingy that has a digital time clock, or bubbles, or even a makeup, for accessories.
So where has it been lately and how long has it been traveling?

It appears to be a type of piston float. The two O-Rings would be to block hydraulic fluid from passing and pressure would actuate the plunger. But this items exact use is not known to me. |

I looks like a bolt from a paint ball gun. The two O-rings prevent the air from escaping causing the the bolt to push foward ejecting the paintball. It's been 10 years since I was in to paintball guns but that looks almost exactly like a piece from one of my guns. just a guess. |

Does it have the name of who makes it? You could look it up in the patent database if it does maybe? Or Thomas's. Is that the name of the huge data base with all the gizmo's that are produced? It's been so long since I used them, I forgot what they are called. Yep, Have at it! maybe try the fastners first. |

Looks like a keg tap to me :) |

well without the two gaskets it is identical to a "thing-a-ma-jig" so I'm not sure what it would be called with the gaskets. ;)
It does however appear to have a bolt with a square end to it and doesn't seem to fit with the item but who knows...good luck with it. |
