Actually... what you ask isn't so out there as mine, but if they (no put down...I was one and may end up there again)don't have to pay for membership and can get more than one Challenge to enter... maybe we won't get as many active members as we normally would have. Then how would Landon and crew pay for all of the gas they put in their Lamborghini's? (Just kidding you'all!!) ;}>

Why would we do that and penalize those that actually PAY for using the site?!?! How about all the users toss in the $25 and then jump into all the challenges instead?

This was discussed in length in another thread, but I can't find it using the search tool. I just can't imagine why there would be a challenge that would exclude paying members.

I don't see a point in doing it, but I also don't see where doing it once would hurt either.
Maybe some new blood would come out of the woodworks with members sidelined (because all the world's best photogs are paying members of DPC).... or maybe not..

Sorry for the delayed response, had puter issues.
I know there's been all sorts of exclusive themed suggestions but I think this one is the most basic (for the site) and probably the easiest to moderate.
Call it interesting, fun, cute, giving, appreciative or whatever but I think just once it would be good to remove the grown-ups and let the kids play amongst themselves, so-to-speak. I know there's plenty of talent in the users and alot of time that talent goes unnoticed due to the popularity of some of the more well-known members.
I don't see how 1 challenge excluding members could be considered penalizing. Isn't that seeing the glass half-empty? Who knows it could actually get some of the users to pony up for a membership after they got a taste of a separatist challenge.
I'm not suggesting this become a regular theme.

Make it one challenge and let only Nikon users enter and Canon users vote. :P
