Below is my first droplet ever. Actually it is one among 20 that I took to find the best one... But I decided not to submit it for this challenge because of these guys complaining about liquid drops...
What do you think about it?
Then I decided to shoot another subject, that I believe is more creative since there is not another photo freezing the subject, like the one that I submitted. I hope I get well with it, but some people may think it is not frozen enough... It is as frozen as my camera can handle, 1/2000. I'd love at least some good comments on it...

If you use Ty-D-Bowl in your toilet, you will get a nice splash of color with it.

I'm in, the Lord blessed me today and I got something I wasn't even looking for and wouldn't really expect to see around here. Hopefully if finds favour in the eyes of the voters.

It's not that I am complaining about it. It's like watching the weather Channel, when the guy says it's going to rain, you expect rain. It would just be nice to see something other than water dopplets. Be more creative. Use your head alittle bit. Thats all I'm asking. |

I am stopped motion. I can't move to take a picture for the challenge :( |

isn't the duration of the flash pretty short? I can't figure out why i'm still getting blur. Without going into specific on challenge entries, what are some other factors that might cause this? It looks like motion blur because other objects are unaffected. Is it possible that the bounced light from a white ceiling could be coming back and giving additional exposure after the initial flash? I thought light travels too fast for this.

I might be able to do this,(not that good though!) I have birds...... it would take while, and you'd have to feed a liquidy diet, being so because wild birds have runnier poop than caged birds.....I don't know if I could put my poor little birdy through the humiliation!!! ha ha That is a hilarios picture..... |

a dark room, flash only, shutter at 1/2 sec. |

Even with my strobes at that shutter speed your not going to stop the blur from movement. I've been playing around since you posted. I'm around 320 shutter @ 2.8f, white walls & strobes turned up. To get my idea to be completely stopped. (it sucks,on to the next idea) I'm not a pro at this, but outside I need to get at least 800 shutter to get motion to stop. Good luck |

actually 1/2 sec, 2 sec, 4 sec. as long as there is no other light it should work.
see here:
but for the shot i'm trying i'm having trouble. I guess I can't get into it much until the challenge is over. I may not have time anyway.
I would think with the flash speeds that camera shake shouldn't even matter.

I'm surprised that there hasn't been a link to previous stopped in motion challenges. |

OK, can someone tell me how to search for a previous challenge other than going back page by page in the challenge history. |

Monique, I usually go to the history page and click the litttle triangle over the challenge names and that puts them in alphabetical order, and then flip though to the challenge entries
hth, if theres a better way, let us know! |
