OK, first, the second episode of Chuck was a huge dropoff from the first. I'm not sure I'm even going to give it episode three.
BUT, did people catch the little tip of the hat when Chuck was "downloading" all his secret info for the fake doctor? One of his lines (said quickly) was, "Oceanic Flight 815 was shot down by..."
TV these days is pretty lame. I'm down to 2 shows. The Office and 30 Rock. LOST is on life-support. We'll see if they pull it out after waiting until Feb to start back up...

I for one have been going through LOST withdrawals. I didn't even start watching the show until half way through the third season. I had to buy the first 2 seasons on DVD and play catch up. I was really hoping that the third season would come out on DVD by fall, but they are waiting until December!!! Funny that this thread came up, as over the past couple days I started watching LOST from the beginning again. |

I hope it's the original UK version of The Office you are watching ;) |

I gave up on TV about 18 months ago. Haven't missed it yet.

They gotta make more episodes for me to see them, eh? I've seen both seasons and the reunion special. Good stuff, although I think that between the two shows the best character overall is none other than Dwight K Schrewt. He's the real reason I tune in every week.

Actually the US version is brilliant, and I am a massive fan of Gervais' original.. The first of the US series followed the UK one quite closely, but when season two aired and they started doing things their own way, well, then it came into its own.. And I agree Achoo, Dwight is a complete crackpot but so very funny.
Saying that, the first episode of season 4 was a bit of a let-down..

I agree about Chuck this week, the story was all over the place. Anyone catch 'Life' last wednesday? I really liked it, it has potential.
Gotta pay for the good stuff: Extras if you like the original Office, Dexter and Californication on Showtime. Curb your Enthusiasm, Big Love, Flight of the Conchords.
EDIT: '5 Days' starts tonight on HBO, 5 part series Tuesdays in October........oh and don't forget 'Caveman' starts tonight

I'm going to lose my mind if the writers strike doesn't end before LOST begins. They only have 8 episodes, half a season. I am a die hard fan to the end though...this is not their fault. Seems the viewer is the one being punished. |
