OK, this is the first time I have ever tried anything like this, currently toying with the idea of a few different video tutorials - this is really just a proof of concept that I added some music to and posted to Youtube. Its not a tut, just a speeded up version of me replicating my zombie picture from a few months back. Bear in mind this took me 12 minutes to create whereas the original took me a good 2/3 hours in total.

Have a look and let me know what you think!

Looks good. Reminds me of the Dove video only slightly different. :P

Bravo! Well done! Were those brushes you used to create the vein effects?

The final result is an improvement, you ugly sod! :-P

Does the original have any commentary? Yes, it looks very cool, but perhaps it would be more informative if you were explaining what you were up to? You're moving pretty fast.

edit: I misread your post. The original image was 2/3 hours. In that case, I can suggest to add audio commentary and slow it down a bit.

LOL, thanks!

Well, I am thinking about using Camtasia to record an actual tutorial, but as with anything, the whole thing is a learning curve. I havent done one of these zombies for a few months, so basically what you are seeing there is me trying to remember how I did it, hence the reason I get stuck choosing the inner bevel settings for a while. I also was learning how to use Camtasia, record it, convert to flash file, fit to the music etc.. So I just whacked up the fruits of my labours for all to see. Its more for show than educational purposes. Saying that, it was all quite straight-forwards so I will start work on my tutorial proper in the next few days..

I think everyone would be richer for some more great video-style tutorials on post-editing steps. You seem to know your way around the ol' Photoshop, so I say...make some time and go for it. Just don't expect me to bookmark it like I did Judi's tutorial...she's hot. You know how it is. ;-)
