we all know what that means!
moisture, cold, over exposed backgrounds under exposed subjects... etc

So to begin, we al must take care of our weapon of choice, be it a canon or nikon or another brand they all deserve the right teatment...

Questions that need to be answerd for the greater good of public knowledge...

ive answered some of them because i know a little about it PLEASE correct me if im wrong and answer ones i cannot

1) keeping moisture out of a lens and body(could become mold problem)
ive heard to wrap your entire gadget in a plastic, sucked fast,
airtight bag so the condensation forms on the bag, not the camera
2)do membory cards work at low temperatures as they do i warm?

3) how can i keep my batteries warm and in rotation to maintain battery life?
keep 2 batterys with you, one in poket close to body( maybe with a handwarmer inside of a sock) and one in the camera, rotate every X ammount of shots...experiment it can save you frustration

4) proper lens filter choice for winter?

5) is there a such hing as photography gloves? (flap for trigger finger only?

6) camera bags designed for cold weather?

Be sure to put in your 2cents and offer any knowledge possible
ask all questions you can think of

Just messing with you. Other than the ziplock bag thing for dealing with rapid temp swings, I wouldn't worry too much about winter weather. To be honest I've never even done the bag thing and haven't ever had a problem with condensation building up.

I've heard about this whole weather changing with the seasons thing. It sounds frightfully tedious and old-fashioned.

Condensation is rarely a problem in the wintertime. It only becomes a problem when you come out of a cold environment and enter a warm humid environment. It's best to let the camera acclimate to the warmer environment before taking it out of the bag.

Memory cards aren't really affected by temperature too much.

Keep you extra batteries in your pants pocket and your body temp will keep them warm.

There is no 'winter' filter. You use whatever filter fits the application at hand, regardless of time of year.

Check your local sporting goods store for gloves... you will find lots of good options for photography.

Camera bags aren't 'temperature' sensitive. Any bag will do.
