Well , I officially feel old..
I'm so much more CMT then MTV..
Just got done watching the CMA awards, and I loved it..
I can't relate to MTV anymore :(--- Hell I'm only 37 ;)
Dont get me wrong, I still like all music, but country now is my main choice.
And if you didnt see the show, some great performances, The Eagles Live! Come on!
Jamie Fox w/ Rascal Flatts, Sugarland (what a great group), Anyone who knows me knows I love Kenny Chesney, great performance too-- Keith Urban's, Taylor Swifts (she a high school senior y'all)
I could go on--
Bottom Line-- I feel Old, I'm Country and Countries cool!

Well, if it's any consolation, i like old country music. Johnny Cash, Hank I, Willy, Waylon, The Carter Family etc.
The newer stuff on the radio seems too....polished and slick, like it was pooped out of some big industrial country music factory. |

George Strait aint pooping nutting out- And still "pure country"--
I know what you mean though-- the Old Country is now called "Alt Country" because of lack of airplay. |

Same for me. I do enjoy the technical side of the newer stuff though, because I was involved in recording studios for a while back when things were still going on tape.

Heh, my dad's favorite song was always "Kaw-liga" by Hank Williams.
His poor old wooden head. lol I'm listening to it right now, and it's good stuff. |

That's funny... I've had the tune "Cool Clear Water" by the Sons of the Pioneers, going through my head all evening. :D

Dang, now I'm going to be hearing it in my wooden head all day.
Eons ago when I was a musician we played some shows with Hanks "Drifting Cowboys" band. They stayed with us at our homes for a few days and shared some interesting tales.
