I woke up the other morning to a call from a some strange number on my caller ID; extra strange since I was still fairly asleep when I answered. Add in the fact that she sounded like several people I know and I was thoroughly baffled and really just wanted to go back to sleep. The woman on the phone seemed really relieved though when I told her she had the right person.
On the bright side she had some very good news. I was selected as one of the top ten landscape photos for Canon's Photography in the Parks contest! I guess there was a problem - they had my phone number wrong and couldn't get my e-mail to work, but luckily someone was able to finally guess my correct phone number. That, she told me, left me about a day to fax them back an affidavit they sent (to a different e-mail) and a high-res image. Luckily none of that was hard to do and after that news there was no way I was going back to sleep. There was a little bit of confusion and I accidentally sent them an unedited version of the shot but eventually got that all straightened out.
I hadn't seen this posted yet, and there are some pretty cool photos in both the Landscape and the Wildlife categories. Check them out at the Canon site and vote for your favorites! |

Hmmm...if it were up to me...I guess you fare a pretty good chance. I voted without knowledge of which photo was yours. THEN, I looked at your profile. I discovered that I voted yours best overall! :-)
