I usually don't re-hash challenge results, but I thought this image should have placed much better than it did. I know it is not perfect... my critique of this photo noted the blown highlights on the near statue, and the very geometric shaped bases clashing with the curves, forms, and textures of the statues.
I still gave this image a 10 in the challenge because it had a lot of WOW factor, for me anyway. As far as Nostalgia goes, this image brings to mind all the Greek mythology stories and movies, the Olympics, Rome, Julius Ceasar era, etc. Lots to think about with this image...
I felt it would be top 10 to 20 or so, not 112. So my kudos go to John Boling in North Carolina! Nice shot...
