Took this one at the weekend,
lots of big fish in a pub in Brighton looked unhappy at their confinement.

I'm still thinking about the caption ...
I like the seagull shot, partly because it is similar to one I shot recently, and especially because of how you got those bird-repelling spikes so well-illuminated. I've been trying to get a good shot of those for quite a while.
I've been doing a lot of sillhouette shots. There are some advantages in using that technique when one has a P&S camera (like mine), in that you don't have to capture detail in the dark areas. The biggest hazard is to avoid over-sharpening and producing an unintentional halo around the subject.

And, myself, I like where the sun is in the other shot - it's a very pleasing effect to me. That is really an awesome shot. |

Great one! Thanks for the caption.
I do agree though that the sun isn't EXACTLY where I wanted it, but I had to take the shot quickly because my other half was stressed at what time we were going to get back home to Yorkshire... |
