Hey folks!!!!
I did a photoshoot for a friend, he's super punk! As you can see... Would like to know what you guys think? I gave a cross processing feel to most of them, personally I thin it works but let me know what you think =)
TIA

I think they are all fab.
1st one looks a little too posed.
But great job |

What a super model - lucky you.
They are really great - I've just thought of a few tips.
1. This does look a little too 'posed' - a bit more expression of agro may have helped - SMILE! The wall behind is excellent, however the basketball backboard looks to be coming out of his head - or stuck on his head. When taking the image I would have moved him somewhat. However now that the image is taken I would consider using the blur tool and even slightly blur the background to create some distance between your subject and background.
2. Great face, would like to see him looking a little more edgy with his expression. In addition I'd use the dodge tool somewhat on the really dark parts of his eyebrows and perhaps even a little 'pimp his eyes' (see Tutorial by idnic)
3. Love the pose of the last one - well done. Perhaps a bit for sharpness on his head - and I might crank up the contrast or use selective colours to REALLY create contrast. |

The x-processing on the 2nd shot works very, very well. He's not really "punk", though, other than his hairstyle...he's got a babyface. Get him a little dirty/grungy and some snarly facial expressions, like this he sort of looks like a "corporate boardroom/rebelling against my soccer mom/$150 jeans/Doc Martens are so cool" punk. |

Go for something like surfinbird's shot:
I think this style of processing conveys "punk" in a visual way.
JMHO.
/me off to bust out my Crass and Exploited vinyl albums.

Hey guys thanks alot for all your comments!!!!!
I am woman especially for going in detail! I'm not or haven't tried using dodge or burn tools, usuall just do things on lightroom, because it's easier lol
Would I have loved more angry expressions? Obviously, BUT he has gone through sooooo much stuff in his life so far, mind you we are the same age, only 20... from being bullied at school which knocked all his confidence down, to the point where now he is drinking way too much, as he was telling me, drinking makes him more outgoing! But it's now to a point where he has been throwing up blood annnnd he wants to stop drinking... he said he's been sober for 2 days, I was glad he was sober today for this shoot or I would've run!! So his expressions today have been pretty much natural and I have to give him ALOT ALOT of credit for coming up for this, as I know it must have taken him alot of gut to show up. We had tried setting up a shoot before when he was in a band but I got stood up...
