They do. It's a manual focus lens and even that is not $1,100 USD

Nikon 50 mm 1.2

All I have is the 50mm 1.8. It's good and cheap. That's why I didn't feel bad when it fell out of my truck 3 ft. to the ground onto the cement and rolled down the street for about 15 ft before coming to rest in the grass Sunday. After all that it still works fine. I probably would've cared a little more if it was a 50mm 1.4 or 1.2.

I buy from B&H all the time, with their prices and shipping it still works out cheaper. Great place to buy from. Keep a look out in their used section too, some great finds there.

I have the 1.8 and the 1.4. I LOVE the 1.4 much better, better build too

thanks thats sort of my reasoning behind getting the 1.8, I can always buy the 1.4 later :) as far as glass goes they are both cheap.

I ended up getting the 1.8 for now, Damn they are small :)

I have both and will agree that the 1.4 seems a bit soft in lower light situations compared to the 1.8, however It beats having extra noise in the photo caused by bumping up the ISO to make up the difference. Can always sharpen in PS.

Both are very good lenses. If I could only have 1 of them I would probably keep the 1.4 simply because it is a far more solid build.

i would say buy the 1.4 then sell it there and make some profit!

That's one of the more unintentionally funny things I've read this month.
