A propaganda challenge would force us to realise how it can be used for good or ill...

May she rest in peace........

Have you read her autobiography. She had quite a life and was a real pioneer.

Her accounts of developing the techique to do "triumph of the will" is fascinating.

I thought the people in the other thread might be interested to know that I suggested this challenge topic as a very subtle tongue-in-cheek response to a challenge that had a huge amount of flags in it.
Patriotic photos IMHO are very strong examples of propaganda, and I think it is interesting for people to become aware of the knee-jerk Pavlovian responses they have to certain kinds of images. Sentimentality is a close cousin of propaganda... I hope this subject will cause people to think about how photographers can manipulate strong reactions in people without discrimination.
