xion he goes deeper, brings out the true essence of his subjects, no poser, doesn't sell out
[thumb]475728[/thumb] [thumb]554336[/thumb]

goodman captures wonderful emotion, takes risks, slick yet tasteful processing style and she started the blur thread. one of the few site leaders that tries to move the place to higher ground. kudos.

pmotta serves up the real goods

e301 thoughtful, has a true understanding of street photography, no sell out

jpr as cool as they come, doesn't take it or himself too seriously, and doesn't put himself before what he shoots...unless he's doing self-port work, of course. great sense of humor in his work.

grigrigirl funky cool, wild color sense...a true original

Sher, Pedro, rscorp, ursula, DAX...

I would say my favorites are the people I have met in person. More than 5 too.

Statistically they are not Ribbon Winning Champions but they are all cool people which is what matters the most.

Personallity is hard to adjust with photoshop. Pictures are another story.

Scalvert - His creativity made me stick to this website for over 2 years and still continues to!
De Sousa - I look forward to one day be able to create pictures with such a creative insight and technical perfection
hotpasta - shows how to keep it simple yet beautiful
DrAchoo - perfection is the key
Librodo - Beauty is where Manny turns his camera!

the list doesn't end here

Far too many to limit it to five, that's for sure. A lot of those mentioned are on my favorites list, and there is a ton to be learned from them. Visit their portfolios; read their notes.

xianart Why? She doesn't just see things - she feels them, or at least it seems that way to me. Her photographs can make me laugh; her photographs have made me cry on numerous occasions. As I remarked on a recent shot of hers, she sees things that even a person standing next to her would not see - then she has the remarkable ability to convey that to the rest of us.

posthumous Don pushes the envelope. He's entirely capable of a pretty DPC shot but you won't see one often. His "Team Suck" concept, while maybe not entirely what he intended, has turned out to be a wonderful haven for those who may not have the skills, tools, or abilities of the DPC powerhouses, but still have the desire. To learn a great deal, read his comments made.

nixter Volkswagens and people. :-) No, seriously, Nick has a great eye for street photography but can shoot just about anything he wants and do it well. Great light-handed but extremely effective processing.

goodman A very unique combination of both a DPC powerhouse and a wonderfully down-to-earth person who is more than willing to share and encourage others. She, too, has a remarkable eye to see the world around her then convey that to the rest of us. She's always willing to experiment, try something new - doesn't rest on her laurels, so to speak.

[user]Louis[/user] The master of light, both artificial and natural. Louis creates photographs. His work is well planned, well executed, well edited. He doesn't shoot quantity (at least based on what he puts in his portfolio) but he shoots exceptional quality.

There are MANY photogs on this site I admire, for many reasons - this is certainly not an exclusive list, just five I'd encourage you to check into if you haven't already. And a nod to timfythetoo - he puts up with my moaning and whining, and encourages me to enter what I like despite the fact we both know it won't score well. He's also started from ground zero and learned at an amazing pace. He sucks up knowledge then puts it to use immediately. He can shoot DPC pretty, he can shoot original. He occasionally oversharpens. And he's meticulous - he works at what he does. Though I will say he cheats as far as models - his kids are entirely too cute.

grigrigirl - Such incredible vision.

Joey Lawrence - What a talent.

goodman - Captures human spirit and emotion as well as anyone here.

No way, there are too many, but if I just skim the top of my head:

No no no... there are dozens of completely realized and accomplished photographers here, just too many to name.

So I'm just going to name the FIVE MONSTERS. I'm not sure these people are even human (and I even met one of them):

e301
grigrigirl
jjbeguin
silverfoxx
xion

I have about 10 true favourites, of which I could list any one in any order. Yet, each favourite photographer has images in his port I'd never elect as a favourite photo. Of course, there are photographers also I'd never select, some of which have provided me with a favourite image.

I might as well play roulette.

jjbeguin
pmotta
porcini
RKT
grigrigirl
