Joey- another brilliant treatment. You need to compile a collection of your interpretive street people, starting with Street Santa and followed by this masterpiece. Clearly you have a gift.

so i finally got to the second most recognizable photo in the challenge ;-)

[nice work on your website, btw. my only complaint is that you can't really view it easily at 800x600.]

Wow the wider crop is BETTER. Glad you included the background people as it adds so much to the story.Maybe a little bit cropped of the left would help but who cares this is fantastic.

I like the scene, and you captured his face well. The cup in his hand still attracts the eye though (maybe because it is central and white), but when you look there, the cup is all smudgy and weird-looking. It's not terrible, just a bit distracting.

One of my fav. photos on this site for a long time. I love how in the post processing you make him stand out compared to the busy city around him, whereas in real life he probably blends into the background with everybody else just brushing by him.

Your work is always wonderful and storytelling, but this one is particularly poignant. The unforgettable look on this beggers face, that you have so skillfully made the centerpiece of this image, is worth a novel full of words. Outstanding work!

you have more interesting shots in my opinion but maybe i've just been staring at homeless people too long?
it's tough picking from all the good ones, though, especially when you've been looking at them and people have been commenting on them for so long.
it's still great though, of course, and i'm more than happy to give it the 10 it deserves.

gogo Joey go!
