I seem to be hovering close to netting a personal best in flora ... even got a nice comment from noraneko too!
Crossing fingers, toes, and maybe even the eyes too.
l00 votes 5.6800 and only 2 comments (must make it a decent but boring shot). |

I never thought I would feel bad about a 6.6 (fauna), but you guys are on another plane this time around.

Sam, were you on Hechscher drive on Saturday? My daughter & I were there and we talked about running into you (only other Jax DPCer).

I can't say that I was. I was on birthday party duty in another part of town.
With Fall coming on, I'm itching to take a day off and head up to Cumberland for a day-hike. Interested? |

Nice to hear I have something in common, lol. Or maybe I should say that it's nice to know that even somone as good as you has border issues!
It wasn't Simms, but 3 of my 4 comments found my border distracting or "not to my taste" - I was just trying something different. Guess I need to go back to black. |

I allways use the same border. I'm surprised people haven't recognized my shots by the border yet :-P but it's not that heavy. |

It's not the right time of year here for critter shots, so I didn't get anything spectacular for the challenge. It's about 5.5 now with 121 votes, 160 views, 3 comments. It's leveled off now after hitting 6 right at first, then down to 5.2.

You should have entered your Flora shot instead? I am new to this site, so I am probably wrong, but I thought you could enter into both challenges. You just can't enter more than one picture in each, or the same picture in both. Somebody please correct me here.

No, you can only enter one of the Exclusive challenges. It's an either/or each week.
If you were a member, you could also enter as many of the member challenges as you want. But as you say - only one shot in each. |

I see by your profile that you are a voter, and that's good. We need voters here. DPC is a good site to learn about digital photography and to interact with a lot of nice people.

Thanks for the welcome, I did enjoy the circus... oh you meant the circus here. Yes I am a voter, I figure if I can't vote for your pictures then I can't expect to have people vote for mine. I also wish I had more time to comment. I love to read comments on my shots, especially the "mean" ones, because they help me get better. When I started voting on the fauna I was commenting on every one, but it was taking too long, so I just went through and finished voting. I guess I can go back and comment later if I get time. I did take time to comment on the really good and the really bad. How do other people try to mitigate this? There are just too many pictures to comment on. I look forward to entering into my first challenge this week. Although the topics aren't easy in my mind, so it might not be a stellar shot.
