I use to get all my printing done at a local company, and they use to sell other accessaries, camera Bags, filters Backdrop Paper ect.
The company went into receivership a Little While ago and just before then, they had a Still life table which they had on special offer for £340.00 and I thought will I or wont i buy it, i was temted but thought no I wont bother as I probably would not use it.
So to cut a long story short there was an auction yesterday for sealed bids which was being run by people who knew nothing about photography and the likes.
I got my eyes on a Roll of olourama Paper and the Chap said there was some more in the Back.I asked if these were for sealed bids he sid no, and then I saw the Still Life Table this also was not in the sealed Bids Section.
I said to the Chap if I bought Two Rolls Of Paper and the Still Life Table How Much would he want.
He Said Give Me £60.00 Wow Wow Wow I think I saved over £400.00p
Still Unsure about the Still Life Table and How it works
Any ADVICE pLease.
Cheers.

What is a still life table? Never heard of one. Post a photo and tell us what it's supposed to do. OK, I'm just lazy. I'll look it up...
Hey, it's not a table at all - it's a white translucent perspex chair! :) Looks like it allows lighting from behind and underneath stuff, apparently for no shadows. Cool. Sounds like you did indeed get a bargain. OK, now that I know what it is, you have to post photos that you've taken on it, to show what it can do. :)

if you're taking a picture of a still life table do you have to put it on a still life table to do it? ;)
sounds like you got a real steal there, nice job! Reminds me of the people you see on Antique Roadshow who say they got the item at a garage sale for .25 cents just before they are told it is worth $2500. lol |

B&H Photo's list of Still Life Tables
The most interesting part of this for me was that B&H offers "White Glove Delivery." It wasn't as amusing once I read what it was, but the initial thought was pretty funny. |

White Glove Delivery is a joke. I have had things delivered via White Glove Delivery where they are supposed to bring it in, deliver it to whatever room so long as it is only one flight of stairs away, unpack it and remove the packing when they leave.
Reality - UPS shows up and bangs on your door and the rest is on you. |
