Hey guys - got my 40D today!
Hopefully, with lots of luck, I may have my IR Rebel XT by then too!!!

Looking forward to seeing the shots from the 40D, Ingrid, and maybe some IR stuff as well. I'm hoping my new 18-250 Tamron (bought mainly for travel) shows up before next weekend, so I can test it out on the walkabout too. |

Are special dispensations from King Walkabout allowed for a different day? If not...I will find a way to deal with it.

lol ... too funny title. We set this up so hopefully work won't get in the way ... just start your walk from your workplace if you can! An hour during a lunch break or before/after work can be a wonderful time for a short walkabout, and maybe a time to clear your work from work. Finding images where/when you least expect them is the whole point of the exercise, and leaving from work could be a great opportunity to do that. Hope you can find a way to join us.

I would like to try this; I've never entered a side challenge. Did you say you will provide a new thread on Oct. 19th? I assume the thread will be in this same forum and have a similar title...
oh, and I will stick to a single focal length.

Expecting lenses tomorrow (Tokina 10-17 fishy / Canon 100mm Macro) and my Sig 18-200 OS by Friday (maybe??).
Just checked my forecast and I am ready :)
