As a matter of fact, I didn't find out until yesterday, but the second group actually called the first group and gave them hell about their practices. I don't think this would have been the case if I had ended up back in the same hospital (Cooper Hospital, Camden, NJ) the second time. I much prefer the second group of doctors and their hospital (St. Mary's in Langhorne, Pa), but they are much too far to deal with on a regular basis. I only ended up there by chance because that's where I was working that day and it happened at work. |
Oh dear Kelli........I hope you recover and are able to resolve this.

Ditto Kelli, that's an inexcusable messup they made. Good that they admitted guilt. Though I'm not litigious by nature in this case I certainly say get legal advice at the very least. (My ex-bf had a similar occurence of two heart attacks in a row, within 2 weeks, though in his case the 2nd one was self-inflicted). Hope you recover well and thoroughly this time.

Can someone who is not voting on the Flora challenge please step up. I have two shots and I need help deciding between them.
Thanks.

Kelli, sweet friend, please get well soon, and take one day at a time. You have really been through the mill, and I just hope with the right treatment and time, you will be back to the best health that you can.
Please read my quote for each and every day of my life, (See below) and hope it helps to make your day better.
We am thinking of you and send you all our love.

Another shot from our recent vacation. Tom thought it'd be funny to have me pose in front of the rock climbing store front! Thought you all might enjoy this sick humor.
LOL

Heh! But yours is actually good. :-) We'll discuss after the challenge closes so folks can see what we're discussing....
Oh, and Jeb - thanks for the very amusing comment on another of my entries!

As no particular "him" was quoted here, when I first started reading this I thought it was just a general statement on all men . . . |

Heh - I suppose I should have clarified, huh? My DPL teammates - primarily the two who are also Team Suckmates - do a very good job of encouraging me to be me, which unfortunately means sucking nicely as far as DPC scores... I do appreciate it, though. |

Originally posted by Melethia: Kelli, if I were you, I'd be downright pissed off (pardon my English) but in your case, don't get too pissed off right now, since it'll do bad things to your blood pressure. :-) DO find out who the doctor was - you have a reasonable lawsuit on your hands if you ask me, and I am not a "there's a lawsuit for everyone" kind of person, either.
Julianne, sorry about the score - but if it makes you feel better, go back in the thread and look at all my scores. :-) |
Other peoples woes don't make me feel better. But the side challenge you started for FS commenting does. I have gotten 12 comments. Thanks for that.
Kelli, I am so sorry to hear about that second attack. That is really a terrible thing. I hope that when you get all your meds straightened out you will mend fast and feel well. One bit of advice/experience: after my husband had his heart attack, his doctor told me it was very common for the patient to feel depressed. It is a frightening experience, and the prospects are frightening. But with the passage of time the depression lifts, as the patient feels better and more secure. I hope this doesn't get you down too badly, but if it does, it will pass. |

I got home from the FL Keys GTG to find that my router isn't working. So I am using AOL dial up. I really can't do much this way, so the next time you will hear from me, it will be from Michigan. We're heading up there tomorrow. |

Have to say thank-you to Jeffrey ( levyj413) for posting when his shot(s) were featured in the "Trusted Reviews" monthly photo contest. I've submitted twice since then, and my second submission has made the top choices for September's "Life in the City" theme. My entry was a reworked version of this DPC entry from Street Photography II:
Thanks again, Jeffrey, for sharing, it's fun to have other places to play :)
Best,

I have been without an update button for what seems like forever. So, I've entered Searching and Flora. Searching will bomb, but I need that button NOW! I really like my flora, but I'm not sure how it will be received. I'm not worried about scores anyway, lol! I just miss that button.
...on another note. I'm OK today, so anyone who's worrying can stop now. |

I dunno. I think the update button is seriously overrated (says the woman with scores off, who also wishes they'd not have the average be "real time".)
Good luck with the entries, and very glad to hear you're feeling OK!! Now, the usual Team Suck question - I have a shot I like, but figure in reality it's indeed crap. Should I enter it? (I just need that warm fuzzy that only Team Suck can provide...) |

Why would you like something that is crap??? If you like it, it stands to reason it's not crap. May get a crappy score, but that's something entirely unconnected. |
