Me either,,, maybe I'll actually get something else done this week! Esp. since my insect shot is in the tank... I need to recharge and stop taking this so personally.

Sports is a pretty broad category, and you don't have to take action shots if that's not what you like.
I can think of quite a few still life/studio shots that would work, as well as candids and even macros.
Maybe you can find a way to use humor or dislike of sports to make a shot.
I'm really not into insect photography but I had a great time doing something I normally would never do...and it's turning out to be one of my higher rated shots.
Up to you, but don't write it off too fast.

if figure skating can be called a "sport"...then darts are definately on the list! ;)

Don't they cover billiard/pool on ESPN? That has to qualify that as a sport - darts can't be too far away!
FWIW, I think the challenge of photographing sports comes in capturing the action or the emotion - whether you like the sport or not, being able to capture those in a picture is a great accomplishment. I've tried photographing my daughter doing sports - not an easy thing to do at all. |
