Eddy, your Damselfly is beautiful. Amazing how she can carry the weight of that body sticking out like that.
Pitsaman, I love your friendly grasshopper :)
Kirbic, your moth is awesome. Up close like that she looks evil though. (shudder)

I've got too many outtakes...it was way too hard to pick one to submit.

I understand Terry!
For as much as I dislike (some would say "hate" even) bugs, I think I took more pictures for this challenge than any other. I have well over 100 pictures of just grasshoppers sitting on my hard drive! Who would have ever thunk?
It was definitely hard to make a choice on what to submit (and I'm not sure I made the right choice based on my score...) |

Wow! Great outtakes. I can only imagine the ones you guys submitted.
Some of my outtakes:
Grass Hopper 01
Dragon Fly 1
Dragon Fly 2
I'll post some more when the challenge is done; my other outtakes might divulge my entry for this week.
For the gear heads ... all those shots taken with a Simga 105mm F2.8 Macro lens.

You people with the SLR's are beginning to get on my nerves!
Eddy G, Gordon, Jacko...to name a few....your outtakes are amazing, I will just wave the white flag now!
I can not get that smooth background blur with my Sony. If anyone has suggestions please feel free.

There's going to be some SERIOUS competition this week!
Can you add those to your portfolio here, I want to add them all to my favourites?

These outtakes are great and so are shots submitted for the Insects challenge, but one thing is bugging me (sorry for the pun). The challenge said to get intimate ment with an insect. I'm not seeing much intimacy, so should I just vote ignoring this part of the challenge?

No SLR needed for that ,just camera with macro and clean background.

I had two shots I was considering for this insect challenge. I ended up entering the one my husband liked. I trust his opinion this time. So far, so good. Best rating to date...
Here was my second choice:
Why does this embedded image not show up when I post? Do you see it?
