Does anyone have a suggestion for a copyright statement to embed in the metadata fields of an image?

Thanks,
Paul

I have Copyright 2007, My Name, All Rights Reserved in mine.

Just hope I remember to change it on Jan 1!

Is it time that we have mk add this question to the unofficial DPC FAQ?

Is it ok to embed the copyright info into the exif for challenge photos?
So I "save for web" and then can add that in after.

Thanks

Yes, lots of people do that for challenge entries. If you have the option in-camera, that also is OK.

Where you might run into trouble is if you add it via transfer software to your original. If you shoot RAW, this is not an issue. JPG's tagged with transfer software are subject to DQ.

I wasn't asking in terms of DPC images, just in general. The metadata fields have one specific for copyright statements.

So, is this: Copyright 2007, My Name, All Rights Reserved sufficient to show ownership of the work?

If I transfer my photos by using adobe bridge which inserts the metadata only for photographer & copyright notice then will it be DQ?

Here is a better question to that:

Since exif data can't be changed (without some illegalness to it), why would there ever be a DQ for changing ANY user entered metadata?
