The voting for Silhouette has now finished so I thought I would show you all how my entry was created...with some fun.

I put together a very short clip (just over a minute in length) showing the location of the shoot and the shoot itself. You will see me getting Kita ready for the shoot and my kids running around during it. Just a bit of fun....enjoy! Oh...and turn the volume up and give it time to download.

As Darkness Envelops...the clip!

Hahahaha...actually...funny you should say that. I already do the videography for the 40meter screen. They are flying me down to Adelaide & Brisbane in November and Canberra in January to cover the International Sprints. I have such a blast with it. But that is with their equipment...which means no processing afterwards...yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!

haha, at the end I was thinking: OH god, I hope she doesn't forget the video-camera ;-)

But, that would've been stupid, because otherwise the video wouldn't even be here :P

nice to see a clip like this!

Thanks everyone. It was fun. And I have to admit...my first ever Time Lapse. I definitely will be playing with that technique some more. The kids also had a blast. They quickly forgot the camera was there but when they saw the results they were really happy.

Judi that was so much fun to witness!

It's great to see that as with my family - EVERYONE is involved with your passion - maybe we need a bumper sticker DPC - a game the whole family can play - SMILE!

Thanks for taking the time to share how you make your magic.

Judi, that's really a fun clip.

How often did you set your camera to shoot? How long was the total time from start to finish?

Thanks heaps everyone for your kind words. I am pleased you are enjoying it. It was a very rushed job so the fine tuning was certainly very rough. I apologise for that.

As for the steps...that was pretty easy. I first took images that I later stitched together as a panorama.

I then set the camera to take an image every 5 seconds.

Later on the computer I made the two title animations.

The spinning panorama was simply a Screen Capture of the Panorama done in a panning mode in Adobe CS2.

I then combined over 200 images into an animation to create the time lapse section.

I then went into Camtasia and brought in the two title animations, the spinning panorama - twice, the time lapse section, the finished image, and the credit page. I added a few black inserts between the sections, added some transitions, brought in the music twice, splitting the piece to join where I needed (this was very rough due to lack of time) and then produced it to what you saw.
