Our very own  Noraneko, whom I'm very proud to call a teammate on both Team Suck and in the DPL, submitted to a juried competition to become a member of the Charleston Art Guild. As she put it: "If I make it, I will have a permanent venue for several pieces as well as access to many, many shows." Well, she made it. Not only did she make it, she's the only photographer who did! Congratulations, Catherine!!! |

Thanks so much for the kind words! If it weren't for this place and the constant feedback and support I seriously doubt I would be jurying into anything. All of this just motivates me to try harder and keep working...'cause I still have a long way to go. It is really exciting to think about a piece hanging into an upcoming exhibition, though. And a little scary!
BTW - I suspect part of the reason I was the only photographer who juried in it that it was mainly painters and sculptors applying to the jury :-) |
