I'm thinking of producing a calendar of my local area with some models that I've been shooting lately. Anyone aware of a good company to mass print and bind such an animal? Anyone have any advice on the pitfalls or problems with an endeavor like this?
Thanks for your input.

When discussion was flying around about a DPC calendar, Mavrik was checking on some stuff. He's the man. I think he was checking with Snapfish, but I'm not positive.
Maybe he can point you in the right direction. Let us know how it works out.

I know that you can get calendars made on Shutterfly, but I think they are rather expensive. I'm sure you'd be looking for something a bit more well done then what they do, but it couldn't hurt to look into it.

Yeah, I checked with a LOAD of places. I'll PM you some of that stuff that I got.
As far as a DPC calendar, I a) moved and b) didnt get much of a sense D&L wanted me to push it - that they were more interested in figuring it out 'officially' later. I already have an unofficial search - the unofficial official calendar may put me over the top. lol

I'd be interested in your calendar info also.
I'm putting one together for a local Non-profit group
Thanks.

Hey JC, I'm interested in putting one together for the non-profit group I volunteer with. I have plenty of pictures for it, but not sure where to go for good pricing - we can't afford much up front... how far have you gotten on your project? |

I did a couple of calendars through shutterfly last year. The quality is great, heavy card, great colour, really nicely printed. A very professional looking calendar. But, it isn't a viable proposition if you want to resell them - the costs are far too high (about $30 per calendar)
I did them as one time gifts for friends and they look fantastic. |

Kinko's Copies and other Copy stores also make calenders. Kinko's doesn't have prices online, but you can call them.
