A photographer spotlight could be put on the site or a picture of the day. This should give people a chance to comment on photographers that don't always win the ribbons or even enter the challenges. People with nice pictures in their portfolios can get comments.
I notice sometimes people don't give out comments until someone else gives them out first. No one wants to be the first.

Its a good idea - you should post it yourself - just find pictures you think should be highlighted and start your own series of threads. The 'Photography Discussion' thread is probably the best place to do it - just stick to one every day or so and it should be good.
Someone else already does a 'highlighted photographer' thread, so you might want to focus (sic!) on individual pictures instead for something slightly different. |
