I personally think, this is a heavily watched website by magazines... I think personally (again) those people are looking for talents, and they most interested in first three ribbons, or first 5 stand.
So, I am asking you, those who already won ribbons (ehhem, I hope someone gonna ask me some project or something one day), if you guys ever asked a project because people saw your work here and like them too much?

| This doesn'r answer your question, but several people have posted that their non-winning entries have been requested by companies. Does that count? |

What I wonder is, sometimes we might it̢۪s just a virtual ribbon we get, and maybe nothing more... but is it? Even we don't have any ribbons, but somehow our portfolio takes other peoples attention to much that they think hiring you for their projects...
This is one of the world's most visited sites for digital photography. Not only our community is very large, also very talented... I think magazines, and companies search the internet to find someone, this is one of the places they watch.
It is like senior of photographers, just graduated from school (similar to other new thread in the forum)... so they probably come here for new recruits :)
... Juuuust wondering :) if so, people might take their thing more seriously... and you know what happens when money comes into middle :) and I am not trying to open Pandora̢۪s box either :) |
