Dang, and I thought 40D with ISO 1600 will give me a dream score...

Oh, I know on voting. But people are demanding validations on every image because they used filters.

I guess I will go and monitor my bokeh and free study. At least my bokeh is hanging at a 6.6 and my free study a 6.1. As I walk away with my head hanging low. I really should go to bed and quite hitting the update button.

Last week I was thinking about people submitting at last minute. Many people submit at last 5 -10 minutes here. But why? Is the reason one of these:
1. These people are habitual of doing things in last hours.
2. Are not happy with whatever they have, or they are never satisfied with their work. And because of this till last minutes it needs work on it.
3. Its just that found out what to shoot 10 minutes before so had to rush.
4. Or some other reasons.

I do not know what is the reason. dpc challenges are not important but trying to do things well before time is very good habit. I wish you do not leave things for last hours in life.


I'm used to challenges ending on Tuesday and Sunday. Realized today that this ended on a Thursday so I went out to shoot but had to work it around other commitments and just didn't have enough time.

You May NOT:
use ANY editing tool to move, remove or duplicate any element of your photograph that would change a typical viewer̢۪s description of the photograph (aside from color or crop), even if the tool is otherwise legal...

Let's hope SC is strict about this one.

I picked, edited, and submitted my entry in the last 10 minutes. No kidding. Bugged me that I didn't have an entry this round, so I grabbed a shot I'd taken in the timeframe that was not related to any other challenge, cleaned it up and gave it a shot. Just on a lark.

It'll bring down my average, but I'm addicted!!!

Look again... that rule about changing a viewer's description refers to moving, removing or duplicating elements, not effects filters. FWIW, the Yellow ribbon in the LAST Impressionism challenge went to a filtered shot. A special rule would've been nice, but... it is what it is.

Different Advanced ruleset though. Anyway, not gonna argue... I'm sure you guys are gonna be busy :-)

True, although the rules are actually VERY similar despite the changes in wording.
