^ Well, no, but then that's not what the thread topic was about anyway. I think people on this site who want to shoot their first wedding already know what it entails, and in most cases are just asking for reassurance in the form of advice. They're willing to be underpaid on their first job or two in order to get their foot in the door. That doesn't mean they'll do a bad job. I personally wouldn't spend $1500-$2500 or more on a photog who had no portfolio (and I give people the benefit of the doubt more than just about anyone else I know) so we've all got to start somewhere.
