I work a part time job - not only for networking, but by working 20 hours at SPRINT I get full time benefits (since owning my own company has me paying COBRA like 400 a month for benefits - poop on that) and it gives me a steady paycheck, and a free phone to use for business.

Plus it keeps me from going crazy during a slow dead spot. :)

I own my own retail business and one of the services it offers is passport photos. I have extended that to include portrait/family sittings by appointment and 2 weeks where portrait/family photos are taken without appointment at my business. I also have a couple of regular shoots a year which make me enough to buy a new lens etc. Having a business also means that any expenses related to all of my photography is tax deductable.
