I have about 60 images saved in a folder on my laptop, and I am trying to burn the images to a cd using Roxio Creator basic v9. All the photos are in their original size. I need to burn these images to a cd for a client!! P.S I tried to use a sony cd-r disc and a sony dvd-rw disc.
I know you guys are tired of me asking stupid questions....... |

Are you sure you're using the right kind of CD? Some computers take CD+RW, some take CD-RW, and some take both. Check to see if it needs the opposite kind than what you are trying.

If that doesn't help and you use windows XP, then skip the roxio software entirely. Just make folders and whatever else, and drag and drop. |

did windows get rid of the drag and drop method in vista? You should be able to open the windows explorer and drag the files/folders right to the CD drive, it will bring up a little window that says you have files temporary written to the drive click here to see them. Once there they should appear grayed out, on the left should be an option for burning the files to cd.
Good luck |

Only DVDs come in the + format (DVD+R/RW).
As for the OP's question, where are you getting stuck? Are you getting any errors? |

speaking of that, is there a difference in the ones that say MUSIC and DATA on them? I wouldn't think so but I'm wondering if that could be causing an issue...just a thought. |

Some home theatre systems allow you to record music; they require the music CD-Rs.
If you're not using that (i.e. if you're using a computer to burn, as 99% of us are), don't waste your money (they're expensive!). Audio quality is identical on both. |

Did you try using the simple burn feature that comes with XP, as sabphoto mentioned? (Assuming you're using XP.) |

I use vista, It does not need a program, you can choose the burn option on the top when in your pictures and just drag and drop from there < I went thru a few cds/dvds before I got it to work good. |
