Ive noticed that a lot of people ignored the part where it is said "Your shot should be suitable for an advertising campaign."
And is thinking outside of the box always good? Cause it seems like some people are trying way to hard to think outside of the box, and are missing the finer points of the challenge description in doing so? |

Sometimes people forget to read the details. *whistles innocently*
Then again, read what Gordon pointed out earlier about how McDonalds is currently not showing their products on their own home page. Anyone remember those old jeans ads that seemed to be about anything but jeans?
At any rate, I'm having the most fun I've had with a shot scoring this low since my procrastination entry, which was also a humor shot. And I already have more fun comments than I did on that one, plus a fave. :)

I missed that part.
(I'm only voting, didn't enter)
And I like to think of myself as pretty diligent when it comes to the descriptions.
This is another reason they should have the challenge description along with the challenge title below the photo when the voting is going on. |

Way too much social commentary in this one as well. YEAH FAST FOOD ISNT GOOD FOR YOu - WE GET IT, and if the challenge was "MAKE FAST FOOD EATERS NOT WANT TO EAT FAST FOOD" then you guys would get thumbs ups. |

What's wrong with social commentary ? :)
It could be a perfect advertising campaign for a sushi restaurant to depict McDonalds looking like crap. Still fast food advertising... |

See, thats what I mentioned before, people trying to think to far outside of the box and making it not work by trying to be so edgy:
Your challenge this week is to become a fast food pro; make our mouths water, make us want to make a midnight food run! Your shot should be suitable for an advertising campaign.
I dont think this one could be any more cut and dry. I know im not Johnny ProPhotog or nothing, but when you ask for advice in here, the first thing people do is tell you to ask your client what they want, and then as soon as a challenge is posted (with the challenge description being "what the client wants") people ignore it. I just find it ironic. |

Who's the client ? That's my point. it isn't out of the box to consider that your client might be a fast food company. Burgers are not the only fast food (think of all the cows telling you to eat more chicken for example ;) )

There are plenty of other fast food places that dont serve burgers, im well aware of that fact. But some shots do not seem suitable for fast food advertising? IMO they defeat the idea of the challenge.

I find it interesting I have over 100 more views than votes. Guess mine doesn't make many people want to eat. Lol - or at least not at full view.

Weightwatchers ? SlimFast ? :) It's generally considered bad form to talk about a specific image during voting (no matter how great that particularly image may or may not be, vote it high ;) )

Hmm, well the challenge desciption says that it should be suitable for an advertising campaign...it didn't say what kind. It could be an advertisement against McDonalds by a health company. However it still features fast food which fits the challenge. That's my interpretation of it.
anyhoo, looks like my score is comin' back up again...I feel like I'm on a rollercoaster ride, WHEEE!
