At least have the balls to say why you are voting low instead of hiding behind anonymity!

Hehe, nice !'s.
I'm not too scared at all, but it might take a long time to comment on 300 images i don't like.

Have you ever considered that perhaps they don't want some person getting upset and pointing them out in a forum... say like this one.

apparently someone needs to learn the phrase "Patience is a virtue"...

ever considered that some people don't have the time to comment on every photo and, given that YOUR entry was anonymous as well as their vote, you should be thankful they voted at all?

you aren't going to get an answer any better OR faster by being angry, and that is also what people are trying to teach you with their sarcasm...

nuff said.

In that case why start the thread?

But in your case, more than enough said.

Edit again:

BTW, if you don't have an account here you might want to pay for a membership there. You're not allowed to be anonymous, and paying members can easily tell who votes on their images. Of course sometimes votes seem to be a bit inflated, just because reactions such as yours do intimidate some members.

Is it possible that you're image wasn't worth the effort it takes to type and not a lack of ball's or courage? A low score should speak louder than words if you're listening...?

There are over 800 images in the voting stage and plenty of others in the forums that might deserve attention. Speaking for myself, it all boils down to time and energy...

The tone of this thread blows chunks.

Relax man, It takes alot of time to comment on all the pictures, Also I would image there are alot more people out there that do what I do, Vote first then go back to all the low ones and comment on them then. maybe your comments will come later... but until then... I do know what your saying and it can get frustrating but there is no need to get upset. :)

Ben
Post a few links to images that you received low votes for and I am sure that many who participate in the forums will be happy to critique them for you.

I think with the growing number of submissions, both good and bad, to each challenge, time simply does not permit sufficient commentary on a majority of images.

My 2 cents...

And when I enter a challenge I usually do it whit a photo that I am proud of. When someone does not agree that the photo is one to be proud of ie voting 3 or less, I'd like to know why so that I can take the elusive better photo you mention. I can only get better if I know what I am doing wrong!

Just because your photo sux doesn't mean I should comment on it. :)

People starting threads like this is why I have stopped voting all together.

That's exactly it. Maybe they should have a few stock standard negative and positive comments to choose from e.g. "Bad focus on subject", "Bad exposure". You would simply select the radio button and make the vote.

Fear has nothing to do with it.

Maybe your photo is so bad that it's beyond comment or maybe the voter doesn't feel that it's worth their time to comment. No one OWES you a comment regardless of the score they give you, you should be grateful for the comments you do get.

If you spent time figuring out how to take better photos rather than ranting online, maybe you'd get fewer ones. Think about it.

Does anyone else feel that along with the "This comment was helpful" check box, it would be nice to have a box that says, "This comment was unhelpful". I don't mind the lack of comments as much as the ones that are just unhelpful and sometimes mean.
