Any chance on getting the 48 hour free study size limit up to 720 like the other one? |

Good luck to all and apologies to Judy for breaking her poor innocence *GRIN*

This also coincides with the meteor show. Though, I have no time to leave the city, and the sky has been looking pretty orange at night lately. Stupid noise pollution. Wouldn't street lamps and signs and billboards with reflectors to point all of the light towards the ground also save a bundle on electric costs while beautifying our skies at the same time?
No, no. That's too expensive. Edmonton, instead, needs a new 80 million dollar art gallery full of twisted metal that looks like construction debris. |

24 of 48 hours nearly gone, 100 entries. I wonder if we'll have a Speed Challenge record here? I'm predicting around 300 images, and maybe more :-)
Mine is in... :-)

Mine is in too. I had a crazy day waiting to go take this shot. I woke up to grey sky & rain, And thought OH NO!!! Then the sky cleared and it was a perfect sunny afternoon which made me very impatient Much like Mak mentioned earlier today, I was starting to mumble things to myself double checking my bag etc.
As evening approached we hopped in the car and started heading to the location. About half way there The skies turned black and it stormed for about an hour, This prevented some of the activities we were going to see from happening and I was told when we got there that the particular event I wanted to photograph was going to be postponed until tomorrow. I just about cried, Then about 20 minutes later the sky cleared and they decided not to postpone anything. Man was a I happy. I am even more happy with the shot I managed to capture. I hope it will be well accepted because I went through emotional mayhem today for this one. Our kids had a great time though so it was worth it even if the score tanks.
Good Luck Everyone.

I have only just discovered there is a Speed Challenge on. Can someone clarify - the photos must be taken between midnight EDT (05:00hrs GMT) 12th Aug and 23:59 on the 13th (04:59 GMT, 14th Aug)? |

11-12 August. And by my math, the deadline would be 03:59 GMT/UTC, or 04:59 British Summer Time.

All I managed to get was flowers and we KNOW how well those go over on DPC. The clouds did reappear though, so we're headed out for a drive. If I'm lucky, I'll have a rural landscape AND a free study entry. Oh, and there are flowers along side the road too. (hee hee) ;~D

I had a complete creativity block yesterday when it came time to shoot for this challenge! I literally couldn't think of anything interesting to shoot, I wandered around half the day trying to come up with something. I finally ended up doing a little experimenting last night and I think I really like what I came up with. It will probably get slaughtered in the challenge, but at least I'm happy with it! |

Woot. I come back from a 4 day vacation to find a Freestudy speed challenge, and I have probably my most DPC friendly photo ever. What luck. |
