Every once in a while, I like to remind everyone that when there haven't been many votes, even small differences can change your average score a lot.
Here's a quick analysis to help folks feel better when scores drop a bit after the initial high voters who always seem to go through immediately after rollover.
Jutilda, I'm going to use the scores you reported as an example, simply because you've given us 5 scores to look at and because we're friends, so you know I'm on your side. :)
1) Votes: 10
Views: 17
Avg Vote: 6.1000
2) Votes: 15
Views: 31
Avg Vote: 6.3333
Average of the 5 votes since #1: 6.8
3) Votes: 22
Views: 40
Avg Vote: 6.4091
Average of the 7 votes since #2: 6.6
4) Votes: 37
Views: 61
Avg Vote: 6.1351
Average of the 15 votes since #3: 5.7
Judy, this is when you said "trolls suck" - 5.7 is a pretty decent average over a 15-vote span, and well over your overall average across all challenges. Now, if you're just blowing off steam, fine, but I'm hoping everyone will see that it doesn't take 1s, or nasty voters, to reduce an initial high score when there just haven't been many votes.

Views: 76
Avg Vote: 6.1600
Average of the 13 votes since #4: 6.2
End analysis: the average vote between times when you checked your score was actually dropping until the last interval.
Conclusion: at worst, don't be upset when the score after 5 votes drops later. Heck, if DPC's lowest-rated shot had received its 7-10 votes first, it would've had an 8.0 after 6 votes:

My photo is Hate or Love typ and I am stressing more with this one. I tried a bit harder than I should, if I left the picture alone, probably would score better or more steady than huge waves going up and down :(
I only hope, it will finish in 6s at the end! |

Seems to of settled, still a VERY respectful score and I'm sure it will rise with the morning sun and may even hit the magic number again. I'm totally happy with it seeing as it's my first shot since coming back.

Mine's climbing! Started out a 6 last night. This morning is was 6.4, now it's at 6.6727. I hope it continues (or, at least, remains at this level)
