So remember my camera's little swim in a river?

Well after sending the body to sony asking them to fix it, they wanted 900 dollars. We said hell no and my dad proceeded to spend hours opening it up and cleaning up the corosion and whatnot but after all that it still wouldnt work......

so today I get a package in the mail:

a BRAND NEW body for my sony a100, two cool old lenses and a new battery and cleaning kit.... I AM SO HAPPY!!!! i have a Minolta AF 50mm f/1.7 and a Zoom 70-210mm f/4.5-5.6. MY DAD ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wait how do you get a brand new body for your sony A100 and how would that fix the problem lol.

Did you get a Sony A100 Body or a body for your sony A100. Because those are two completely different things.

wow! what a sweetheart of a dad you have! the other day i was in a bookstore and there was a young woman with her father behind me in line. they were so sweet to each other and he was making sure she had everything she needed. as i was about to leave i called my son who was busy playing with the yoyo's nearby. he put it down and came over to me ... then i hear this voice "hey kid!", and we turn around and this man is coming toward us with the yoyo, and he says "i just bought this for you, enjoy it." we were stunned! it was such a sweet gesture. he was watching my son enjoying the simple task of playing with the yoyo and something resonated. i can see that your dad is of the same ilk. he has obviously seen your talent and growth as a photographer and wants to nurture that and help you to grow as an artist. very cool! enjoy the new toy!

I just took the first shots with my new sony a100 with one of the lenses my dad bought me, I AM HAPPY :-D
