Heheh, couple months back. Mark 3 is just too damn expensive. There are other hobbies I would spend that sort of cash on if I were so inclined (which I'm not).
Nice thing about canon bodies/lenses - resell value is very nice so the 5D/24-70/70-200 2.8IS purchases were not as painful as they could have been. |

| I haven't checked my score - still waiting for the 100 vote count to show up here. But it's been going up based on my average, which is nice. Better yet, there are a few with whom it's struck a chord, so I'm really quite delighted! |

 Melethia,I admire your restraint - I managed about 24 hours with the scores turned off, but caved in to the gratification craving this morning. Looking forward to seeing which yours is, and if it struck a chord with me, too. Mine is edging up, ever, ever so slowly, and will definitely make my own front page. Not in the Ribbon territory, but I am keeping my fingers crossed for a star. I like stars. |

Not restraint, really. I do like to see when I score well, but mostly I like to get reactions (and yes, I realize a score is a reaction of a sort). I shoot and enter for the sake of the process - that's the part I really enjoy. The end result - the score - is an interesting byproduct, but not the goal for me. I'm weird that way. :-) That, and internet access here is both slow and intermittent - probably a great way for those of you addicted to overcome that addiction.

I'm just so glad you are able to shoot there where you are. I'm sure your photo will be awesome, and I can't wait to see how you make Kuwait artistic and cool looking. After a few of your photos, I'll wish I was there taking pictures :) (well, maybe not :)

Heh! No, probably not. And I got lucky in that someone had to go off post and we must have two people in those circumstances. Otherwise I wouldn't have had anything. Opportunities to shoot are rare - but it's nice when I do get the chance. |

Nice score, Deb! WoW...You got a hundred votes? Not me...I've been at like 97 for a day and half....well may be a couple of hours, but the votes certainly are not flowing in....Oh well....I'll see what's up at a 100 should it come by turnover.LOL!

Started out with 5.375/30 votes...so I am pleased it's gaining some ground. Probably won't make the top 100 but it's better than my other two challenges! Dare I hope it will break 6.0 before all is said and done?
