Some asshole has now stolen from me. The Letter
I have contacted the website but had to leave some comments for a jerk that posted his idiotic opinion. Thanks to  dorset_rob for pointing this out to me. |

That site has a lot of pics that have been lifted... I looked through the top 10 in the most popular category and saw several that have been lifted from AP photographers...

why do we continue to be surprised/outraged that this happens.
It's like getting bent out of shape that the sun rises. It's just going to happen.
If you post to DPC, and it's a good image, it's going to get lifted. That's all there is to it. |

On the Contact page, they have "Is your photo being displayed without permission?"
It would be a pretty safe bet to say that most, if not all, photos are being displayed without permission on that site. |

This is what I got back from the site.
James,
I do apologize about the copyright issue with your photo. It has been taken down and removed from our servers. Unfortunately I cannot give out information regarding who uploaded this photo, as we do not retain that type of information.
If there is any other problem please feel free to contact me.
And I see that  scalvert's is gone as well.

Removed just 12 minutes after I emailed the Admins, and I got a similar response. That was fast! |

I bet if they got notice they were being sued for infringement they'd tell you. |
