I think it's time to expand the top favorite photographs. As it now stands there are only 30 listed at a time. I think that is fine for the intial page that comes up when we go to the site favorites but we should be able to link to a page that contains the top 100 or so.
Of course, I'm not just saying this because I only need 2 more people to add my photo Almost Gone as a favorite to make the list; I'm saying it because I think it's a good idea. :)
To me having people mark one of my photos as a favorite is more rewarding than winning a ribbon and I've noticed that many of the most favorite photos aren't challenge winners, often because they were great photos but didn't fit perfectly into a challenge. With so many great photos that many people really love I think that having only 30 is a shame.
It should be put in the "Browse By" options.

No - I quite agree. And neither would I be so cynical as to hope that 39 more people would kick my 'Follow Me' pic into the Top 100!
I think that's a good idea. I too see many photos in challenges which I may mark down for challenge relevance but actually really like. Good suggestion. |

Someone UNfavorited me last night. :( How shitty is that? Both me AND one of my pics, too.
As good as being added felt, being deleted is 10x worse!
Worse - I don't know who, what image, or why!

Back in DPC 1 (the previous iteration of the site), it used to be like this.
Don't know why it changed.

That happened to me the other day(for the 2nd time)...doesn't it just suck?

Happened to me too, but I think it was David Sidwell after running out of space! I obviously didn't make the cut!! :(

| I would like too see more favorite photographers too. But I think top 100 photograps is way too much Unless u could put it in 3 sites or something, would take forever to load for people with slow connections, but sure would be cool too see more favorite photos |

WOW You keep up with all that. I just don't have the time and I guess don't worry about it. I do fav photos and photographers sometimes but I even forget to do that :(
Even if someone isn't on my favs list...that doesn't mean they aren't a fav. I couldn't tell you how many have fav'd me or one of my photos.

Shiiizzzam: 90 people have selected you as a favorite photographer and 163 for your photographs, the most popular of which is All Creation, which is 29 people's favorites, coincidentially the same number that my Almost Gone has, yet you are displayed on the page and not me. :)

Heida: You think that it would be too much?! Think about that for a minute. The challenges now usually consist of at least 100 images and they are all displayed as thumbnails at one time and hopefully people are actually looking at the full sized versions too. I agree that they shouldn't all be put on one page, but they could just use a "next" button or something to continue to see more. |
