Someone who knows more than I do, please help me out. I need help turning this option off. Very icon is not like an internet link and it will auto select stuff and not to mention look like crap with an underline on everything.

Don't know how it happened, but I have looked everywhere to find where to turn it off. Please help!

Thanks guys!

I think I know what you mean...try this:

Right-click on your desktop. The 'Display Properties' window will come up. Select the 'Display' tab and at the bottom click the 'Customize Desktop...' button. Click the 'Web' tab. If the problem is what I think it is, there should be a list of stuff that you can select to display as a web page on your desktop. Deselect and/or delete the items.

If that isn't it, let me know.

That's not it... I can't find the option at all right now but I've seen it. It's something like "Single click desktop items to run them" but I can't find it anywhere!!! I've looked all over the place for it.

Now I found it... :) Open up Explorer then choose Tools >> Folder Options. Then select the "Double click to open an item" and that should do it. You have it setup right now to single click items.
