In regards to my previous post about ning.com, I have created a network there for North Carolina Photographers. If you are in North Carolina and would like to be a part of it, please stop by :)

Anyone can... hopefully this site will be just North Carolina people though. I would really like to limit it to that.

I have lived in NC all my life and never bothered to take a trip to the banks... I should do that one day :)

I could say the same about the hills and mountains of NC til the last few years of my life. I grew up on the sound side, close enough to the banks to speak a little "hoi toider". (old English like accent and lingo) I know the the original banks residents appreciate those like yourself who don't visit. They call these temporary visitors "ding batters". heheheheh Even though I grew up in Eastern NC, I'm included in this list too!

Residents of any tourist area are like that though. I woudln't want to live in a tourist area like that unless I was making money from the tourism. I have often thought about moving to the Outer Banks after I win the lottery and opening an ice cream shop / art gallery :)

I'll be in the outerbanks in mid August and looking for photo ops. Perhaps we can schedule a GTG with some interested NC'ers? |

Ill be in Corolla at the end of the month (July 27 - August 4) There are some decent spots around there, a lighthouse, nice beaches, high dunes, dramatic sunrises, etc. I mostly just lay in a hammock and sleep though. |
