I registered for the 1 week trial on Digital Image Cafe, and submitted a couple of shots (almost at random) for the POTD.
I got the e-mail this morning that I had been selected as the Scenic POTD in the "Today's Appetizers" section. (Almost like a runner up?)
I'm pretty happy about it, but it makes me wonder if maybe it's just their way of enticing the trial users to pay the $25/year membership fee. :)
(That sounds really cynical now that I think about it.)
Still, I'm happy! I e-mailed my parents and sister a link this afternoon I was so happy. :)
Anyone have any experience with this site? |

Congrats!
I've had a few photos of the day there, you may be right about the lure to get you to be a paying member. When I first started submitting I won 10 photos of the day fairly quickly. Then I was no longer eligible for that section so I coughed up the membership fee. In my entire year as a member I only won 2 photos of the day there.....and I submitted a lot of photos, photos that won many times over at other photo of the day sites. You can come to your own conclusion about that. :)

| Yeah, similar experience for me a couple of months ago. In my first trial week I got two of the four shots I uploaded chosen as the day's 'appetizer'. Seemed like a nice enough group of folks, but just never got around to coughing up the $25 for membership. May someday, who knows... |
