I would second that, I think the portrait style images would look better as is without the grunge. It would work best with the hand holding shot, but the 'swoosh' feel is a bit distracting.

The grunge part is cool and the portraits are cool, but grunge portraits are...dark, brooding if you will, the poses don't really fit the processing for me...

| Tooooooooooo happy and bright. THe first one would probably work best, just needs to be a lot less bright. |

| I agree. The grunge is cool and you did a great job with them but they kinda bring down the otherwise great pictures...makes them depressing. |

here's where i got the textures from

basically put the texture over top of the rest of the layers, desaturate (if you want to), add a little contrast, set the layer to Overlay or Hard Light, and mask it out a little bit.
so easy :)
