| Many of you helped me choose the my entries for the Bellevue Botanical Photo Contest. Although I gave it my best, I didn't even get one of the honorable mentions. Perhaps you will be interested to see the actual winners Photo Contest Winners I would have never guessed that the first place, $500.00 winner would be a photo of concrete! LOL - hey, I'm not bitter, just puzzled :) |

This photo "a winner",what they use overthere XEROX copiers?

Yeah, wow, sorry to see that you didn't win. you should have gotten something, some of those winners were, well, pretty bad. Especially the people category ones, as pitsaman has posted. They were collectively bad as a bunch, cute ideas but poorly exposed.
The concrete is really really baffling as well. Who would have thought....
Just goes to show that voting on photos is never explainable, online or in the real world. |

Thanks for the sympathy. Nevertheless, I feel honored that I wasn't included in this bunch of winners - OMG Did I Say that??? I'm a nice person, I'm a nice person, I'm a nice person . . .
Honestly though, their jpeg conversions are awful. They did look a bit better in real life. :) |
