 Are weeds considered florals? |

All I got is weeds myself, except the few roses and assorted flowers I bought and planted in the spring. But they are some beautiful weeds. |
I might just light mine on fire to make the pics more interesting. :) |

Now that is an interesting idea. I can see the neighborhood going up in flames. Some great photo ops. |
Hmmm... now I am having second thoughts.

Now all you need is a little weed in your cuffed hands. Perfect. |

		| I'm going to have to sit this one out. After weeks of 110+ degrees (Fahrenheit), it's like a wasteland here. And it's just going to get worse for the next few months. So y'all shoot your pretty flowers while we in Phoenix burst into flame. :op |

LOL:) I don't think that would count as floral. Then again it would count for me. |

Awesome response so far! I would like to reiterate that weed...I mean weeds are most welcome. So are dried up flowers, see pods, rose hips really anything that used to be a perfect little flower is great. Personally I've been shooting a lot of weeds and florals in various states of being lately...I love droopy flowers, it's been really hot and dry where I live too. Do macro, still life, interiors, candids, whatever...just so long as the floral component is there.

I guess I'll compile some sort of list tomorrow...or Sunday. |

		I'm in.
 Until I wander off,
 then I'm out.

I live in an apartment (no Garden of my own) and do all my flower shooting in strangers gardens. I might not be able to do 30 days without getting picked up as a stalker or something. Mya have to depend heavily on the "things floral" aspect of this.

Count me in, please! These are some dead white orchid blossoms. It'll be an interesting challenge just to find a flower alive in this oppressive heat. Never done a 30-day challenge before, hope I can last. Thanks for the thread. [edit to add thumb]

		| I'm a definite maybe. I committed to the pet one in July, too, so I may be signing up for too much, but how often do I feel encouraged to submit pictures of cats and flowers LOL? |

Count me in. I have a collection of about 100 pressed plants from the Kansas prairie (took a couple of classes where this was the requirement for credit) and have always wanted to have a set of pictures to go along with them.

Got to go dig out my plant ID books... |

One question on this side challenge...
Does the image have to be taken on the day you submit it? ...or any time during the month? I go to the garden shop and/or nursery once a week since there aren't many flowers in the garden of my new place.

I'm a new kid on the block..so not familiar with how these side challenges work..but definately would like some critique of my photos.

can U count me in - there are so many flowers around here (I live on a farm and have a small nursery) it would be a shame not to take pictures of them.
The thing is - there are zillions of floral pics on the net (many of them here in DPC) and I guess its hard, if not impossible, to bring a new perspective. still one can only try, and they are so pretty. |
